Customer is a parts, service and customer care division of a leading Automotive OEM. They serve as a primary OEM accessory seller, who sells parts and accessories.

Customer’s Journey with Lotus Notes

IBM Lotus Notes was a primary platform on which this organization had heavy relied on for so many years for the Vehicle Buyback & eDisclosure process. Due to change in government regulations and hence the company processes the platform was no longer helpful for the company to process the associated transactions. Therefore, customer decided to revamp its underlying technology and started to pursue state-of-art technology providing hassle-free support to its customers.

The scope of VBBS & eDisclosure project includes end to end business process modelling, business rules extraction from Lotus Notes and accommodate the same but improvised functionalities into new Java based application. Defining and elaboration of 100+ user stories (a method of explaining stakeholder’s expectation from the new application), conducting weekly stakeholders review and monthly cadence meeting with project sponsors are some of the project activities carried in this engagement. STG also enabled application with adhoc reports and dashboards so regulatory team can extract applicable metrics and report to federal/state regulatory affairs and compliances.

 

Project led by a cross-functional team strictly following Agile methodology, propelled customer to address various challenges it faced while using outdated system and its senior leadership have a better visibility of business thru various metrics.

Activities beyond Project Delivery

STG’s employees always excel in not just development of applications but also post-developmental activities like creation of user guides and conducting various training sessions for the project stakeholders. In this engagement too, project team member facilitated training session for customer managers and successfully empowering them to use and benefit the new application.
