Founder’s Principles

Established in 1985, STG has operated the firm based on the principles and beliefs of our late founder, Mr. Kanu C. Popat. Mr. Popat spent 20 years working for Tata’s and Burroughs (Unisys) corporation as the CEO of India’s largest Information Technology Outsourcing Services firm from 1978 to 1985. After leading this company to becoming India’s Largest IT services firm, Kanu moved his family back to Detroit, Michigan and quickly became one of Michigan’s most successful entrepreneurs. Today, STG is led by Mr. Popat’s two children, Anup Popat (Chairman & CEO) and Mona Aggarwal (EVP Finance).
